UPDATE Summer Event 2013

Final Programme

Summer Event 2013 for all South Wales Swiss

Friends most welcome

Since our last newsflash regarding our Swiss summer event there have been some amendments to the programme.
We have been offered a private short tour of the delightful Carmarthenshire County Museum in Abergwili, Carmarthen which is just around the corner from Gwili train station at Bronwydd.
The Museum building was once the palace of the Bishops of St. David’s (1542 – 1974) A range of fascinating artefacts from mammoth bones and Roman gold are on show along with treasures like Welsh dressers and paintings portraying the county over the years. It is well worth a visit. Entry to the Museum is free.

Our Programme update for Sunday 7 July is as follows:

Meet at Carmarthenshire County Museum in Abergwili SA31 2JG  (see directions below)
We will be greeted by the Chair of Carmarthenshire Council, Councillor Terry Davies, his consort and the museum curator, Mr Gavin Evans. We have also invited the Carmarthen Town Mayor to join us and are awaiting his reply. Our Swiss guest at this event is the Consul General at the Embassy of Switzerland, Mrs Margrit Ledermann-Prestofelippo, who will travel from London to join us for this event. She is looking forward to meeting members of the South Wales Swiss Community.
