The Mansion House Concerts

The concert idea started in 2008 when two young Swiss violinists, studying for their Master degree at the Royal College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, got in touch with the Consulate of Switzerland in Cardiff asking about possibilities to perform in Cardiff.  The Mansion House proved to be the ideal venue for a musical soireé. Since then concerts with young Swiss, German and/or Austrian musicians have taken place with the support of Cardiff Council over the past seven years  at the Cardiff Mansion House and are now widely known in Cardiff as an enjoyable yearly event with young international musicians.

The aim of all these concerts is to provide a platform for talented young Swiss musicians, (and/or German or Austrian musicians)  This year we are especially pleased to have been able to find musicians from all three German speaking countries, and Switzerland, Austria and Germany, all highly skilled and polished performers.  They have put together an interesting and varied programme for us.

This event would not be possible without the support of the Lord Mayor of Swansea, Councillor Ceinwen Thomas and Swansea Council. The organisers are grateful for this support and are pleased to also support with this event the chosen charities of the Lord Mayor.
